Walden Surfboards launched its first Walden Wahine surfboards for women in 2002. A beautiful collection of surfboards inspired by classic Hawaiian florals, the Walden Wahine surfboard was as functional as it was beautiful. The collection was based on Steve Walden’s famous and best selling Magic Model, a high performance longboard meant for all wave types and all levels of surfers. Walden modified the Walden Wahine’s slightly - the dimensions were thinned out and narrowed to better fit a women’s frame. Walden Surfboards was the first company to design an entire line of surfboards just for women. We didn’t just add a token pink surfboard to our existing men’s line; instead we created an entire range of surfboards for the full range of women. Walden Wahine quickly became the top selling women’s surfboard line. and continues to be the leader in women’s surfboards today. When you think of women’s surfing, you think Walden Wahine. An in stock board ordered online or over the phone will ship out within 2 business days. A custom board will ship upon completion of production. Delivery time depends on your distance from Southern California, and takes approximately 3 to 10 business days (not including holidays).
